July 2022
- Cash donation made to "A Pocket Full of Hope". This is a charity dealing with breast cancer.
- Luncheon and bingo provided for the Veterans from Manteno with the support of Paddy B's.
The club’s member’s work to promote community service and to help the disadvantage through various fund raising events that enable us to help others.
Some of our efforts include helping the Orland Township Food Pantry by donating food and money year round.
Provide three individual $1,500 -scholarships to three students in need (and with a disability) who attend one of our local High Schools and plan on attending college.
Orland Days Special People Day – These are special needs people and we average over 2,000 children and adults for a one day Carnival. All rides, live entertainment and lunch are provided at no cost to them.
Sponsor softball teams and provide uniforms for the Special Recreations Department.
Co-Sponsor 15k bike ride for Special Olympics with Orland Park Police Department and Paddy-B’s Pub
Donate Christmas Trees to people in need
Adopt-A-Family A community organized event where the Orland Park Lions Clube provides Christmas gifts to 30 families in need.
Provide eye exams and glasses from Lens Crafters to individuals in need from the surrounding schools and community
Offer assistance to people in need of monetary or goods
Assist in acquiring viewers for people legally blind.
Donate to Light House for the Blind. This is a program that trains blind people to live on their own.
We also donate money to local baseball organizations and much, much, more.
Orland Park Lions Charitable Corporation is listed with the IRS as an “Exempt Organization”. Our organization is eligible to receive tax-deductible contributions (Pub.78 data) and is listed as a 501 (c) (3) public charity.
