Where Can You Donate Your Old Glasses and Hearing Aids?

If you no longer need your used glasses, sunglasses or hearing aids, please consider donating them to the Lions. We accept hearing aids, prescription eyeglasses (frames with lenses intact), sunglasses and reading glasses. (No lenses without frames or frames without lenses, please.)

We have the following collection locations in town:

  • The Optical Center - 768 Main Road
  • Westport Apothecary Inc. - 784 Main Road

  • Westport Council On Aging - 75 Reed Road

  • Star’s Country Store - 526 Sanford Road

  • Westport Grange - 931 Main Rd, Westport, MA

  • BayCoast Bank - 787 Main Rd, Westport, MA

Why Donate?
Many emerging countries lack the resources to manufacture quality devices and lenses, and the cost of importing is far beyond the means of the average citizen.

Millions fail to reach their economic, educational, and social potential without access to these quality devices.

How Are the Lions Helping?
Individual Lions clubs and districts have collected old, unwanted eyeglasses and hearing aids for redistribution to the poor in developing countries. Lions and other volunteers donate travel expenses, time, and talent to dispense these products free of charge to individuals in developing nations. Some people walk 50 miles to receive free eyeglasses from the Lions. Your donation can a have a big impact on someone's quality of life.
