The New Milford Lions Club serving our community since 1929:
What do Lions do?
Above: President Bill Deak presents a check to Erica Keane with NMHS and NM Cares to help with the anti-drug talk they are sponsoring at the NMHS on May 19th, 2015!
Our projects raise money to provide for the community: scouts, seniors, youth, the hungry, sports and recreation, vision and hearing support for financially challenged. We help to make the community more fun and the town stronger and more beautiful. Some examples:
$8,000 scholarship awarded annually to a graduating High School Senior!
Thousands of Pounds of Food delivered to the New Milford Food Bank monthly
Lynn Deming, The Maxx, Young's Field, Harrybrooke Park Pavilions -- all past Lion's Club Projects
Financial support for Girl scouts, Boy scouts, many Youth sports organizations, Food Bank, New Milford Hospice/VNA, Harrybrooke Park, and many others.
Our dues are also used to support international effort to cure river blindness, measels, disaster relief and many other projects through the Lions Clubs International.
Come and find out what it's all about, and how you can give back to your community!
